Didymograptus

    DIDYMOGRAPTUS
     These graptolites formed a shape similar to a tuning fork.  The colonies were often robust, ranging in size from 3/8 to 4 in (1 cm to 10 cm).  The thecae are long with simple tubes.  The stipes expand in width from the proximal end.
    
    
     Habitat:  This genus floated in northern oceans.
