EUOMPHALUS

The disc-shaped, coiled shell has a slightly raised spire. The whorls are stepped, owing to a narrow notch in the growth lines, forming a sharp ridge. Successive internal walls seal off early whorls. Habitat: It lived on marine vegetation. © 1992 Cyril Walker, David Ward .
