DREPANASPIS

A number of heterostracans, such as Drepanaspis, were well-adapted bottom- dwellers, scavenging in the mud of the seabed for food. The front of the body was broad and flattened, and the eyes were set wide on either side of the upturned mouth. ©1988 Marshall Editions Limited .
