PARALEJURUS
PARALEJURUS
Paralejurus has a convex and nearly semicircular head shield. Subdued dorsal furrows may be faint or obscure. There are no genal spines, and the eyes are positioned at the rear. In the ten segments of the thorax, the axis is not clearly differentiated from the pleurae. The large fanlike tail shield has a relatively short axis.
Habitat: This was an inhabitant of warm shelf seas.
Remark: This is a sporadically common genus in limestones that accumulated in shallow-water conditions.
